Verse for the 2010-2011 Season
Pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
E-mails I received after surgery:
From Dr:
Surgery was done for posterior labrum, anterior rotator cuff, and glenohumeral ligaments. He believes that posterior labrum tear was main issue and it was repaired. Anterior rotator cuff debridement and glenohumeral ligaments repair were also done. Had trouble with breathing tube, air way kept shutting off during surgery which made it last three times as long.
From Coach Fritz:
16 weeks is feb 10th. Best case full practice release is march 10 (20 weeks). Hopefully full practice release no later than april 7th (24 weeks). I'm pretty sure you won't be cleared to compete until after you are cleared for full practice.

I am right back to where I was last year. I don't know if reality has hit yet. I know two things: I had another serious surgery and I know God is going to help me through it. Yet, it just doesn't seem real. I can't grasp the fact that I am going to spend another 6-8 months of my life trying to get back into shape so I can do what I love.
We started Physical Therapy (PT) already, I've had two sessions and I can already tell this is going to be way worse than last time. We can't get my pain to be manageable. Kelli is awesome and is who I will be working with this time at OSMC. I am so blessed to get do my PT there. I feel like I am in good hands and she is going to work just as hard as I am to get me back into the ring. So far I have restrictions of 90 and 60 on my range of motion. It is so frustrating that everything is on a timeline and you can't just push through it like an ACL rehab.
Well that's the end of my catch up post. I plan on blogging throughout this whole experience this time so I can see just how hard it's been to fulfill my dream of being a D1 athlete.
